Shenzhen, China – Taiwanese singer-songwriter Wei Lian brought a surprise guest to his concert in Shenzhen on Wednesday night, inviting Hong Kong pop idol Keung To of the boy band MIRROR to perform a high-energy duet. The collaboration, which included a spontaneous dance-off and a heartfelt revelation about a missed career opportunity, captivated fans at the Shenzhen Sports Center.
Wei, known for his hit ballad “Girl” (translated from Chinese), kicked off the segment by joking that he felt “under pressure” dancing alongside the younger star. “I told my team, ‘If Keung To wants to sing ‘Girl,’ will he dance with me?’ He agreed without hesitation,” Wei told the crowd. “Now I can only do moves like a children’s dance in front of him.” He added that after the performance, he needed a moment to catch his breath. “I’m a full zodiac cycle older than you,” he quipped, wiping sweat from his brow.
