Hong Kong singer-songwriter Jay Fung, also known as 馮允謙, is set to launch his first solo outdoor concert series, BLUE MOON WANDERLUST, on January 17 and 18, 2026. The highly-anticipated performances will take place at the AXA x WONDERLAND, West Kowloon Cultural District, with tickets scheduled for public sale next Monday, June 24. This venue marks a significant transition for Fung, who previously headlined indoor shows at prominent venues, bringing his distinctive musical style to an open-air festival setting.
The concert, titled BLUE MOON WANDERLUST, is designed to offer fans a unique, immersive experience blending music, atmosphere, and culinary treats. To encapsulate the varied moods of the show, Fung released two distinct promotional posters: one featuring a lunar motif symbolizing the romantic ambiance of a night performance, and another depicting floral elements, representing the warmth and promise of the new year. These thematic elements reflect the duality Fung plans to showcase through his music and various on-stage personas, oscillating between romantic allure and amiable warmth.
Fung acknowledged the immense excitement surrounding this career milestone. “I am incredibly thrilled; I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time,” he shared. The inspiration for the outdoor format stems from having attended another group’s open-air performance approximately three years ago. “Witnessing that excited me greatly as an audience member and motivated me to pursue an outdoor show of my own,” he stated. Following his debut solo concert in 2022 and two subsequent arena tours, this outdoor series promises a new kind of interaction with his fan base. Drawing from his youth in Canada, where attending outdoor festivals was common, Fung aims to recreate that “warm, chill atmosphere” allowing attendees to enjoy refreshments and feel “free.”
Beyond the musical performance, the venue will host specialty kiosks offering various snacks and bespoke beverages, encouraging attendees to fully embrace the immersive, free-spirited journey encapsulated by the event’s title.
To ensure peak performance for the demanding outdoor shows, the singer emphasized the need for discipline leading up to January. While acknowledging the temptation of holiday feasts, Fung noted that preparations—including vocal training, physical exercise, and rigorous rehearsals—require self-control. “I have to make some sacrifices,” he joked, “but I’m happy to do it to ensure I am in the best possible shape for the concerts.” He stressed that the complexity of his songs demands excellent physical condition and vocal health.
Fung’s objective for the January event is to provide a joyful commencement to the new year. “I hope we can start the year together in a warm, happy state, full of love and wonderful feelings,” he concluded. The highly anticipated series is expected to deliver a spectacular experience as Fung performs his repertoire “under the stars,” promising fans a rich, musical cosmology crafted specifically for this open-air environment. This concert series marks a significant evolution in Fung’s performance career, merging intimate musicality with the grand scale of a festival setting. Potential attendees are advised to secure tickets promptly given the artist’s growing popularity and the limited two-night run.
