Just one month after leaving the label, Yip has secured a role in a new HOY TV sitcom and is scheduled to make a public appearance alongside TVB singer Chantel Yiu.
Yip, known mononymously as Marco, attended a launch ceremony on Monday for HOY TV’s upcoming situational comedy “Your Security Guard Li Bao’an.” The series marks his first acting project since exiting MakerVille. He is also slated to appear at a shopping mall event on August 5, where he will share the stage with Chantel Yiu, a rising star from TVB’s “Stars Academy” talent show.
The 27-year-old artist stirred speculation about his post-departure career path after reposting promotional materials for the mall event on his Instagram Story over the weekend. Fans and industry observers have been closely watching his next steps following his exit from the management arm of ViuTV’s parent company.
Band Members Address “Frozen” Status
