The new fantasy K-drama Run Toward You, starring Cosmic Girls’ Bona and Park Seo-ham, instantly breaks from the traditional K-drama playbook by killing off its leading man in the very first episode. Park Seo-ham’s character, bodyguard Jeong Woo-jae, dies protecting top actress Yoon Ha-na (Bona) from a stalker at an awards ceremony. The story does not end with the funeral. After Ha-na and her brother Ha-ro (Jang Se-hyuk) crash into the sea, they are transported back to 2010. The show establishes a strict set of rules for the time travel:

This marks Park Seo-ham’s return to a leading TV role following his 2022 breakout in Semantic Error. He joked about the challenge of playing a high school student again. “Looking at myself in the fitting room mirror, I felt like an older person wearing a school uniform to go to an amusement park.” It is also the first collaboration between Park and Bona, despite both having debuted in the entertainment industry in 2016.
