Ho Pui Ka Celebrates First Birthday Fan Meeting, Vows to Return Love

Hong Kong actress Ho Pui Ka marked a career milestone on Oct. 1 by hosting her first-ever birthday gathering with fans, describing the intimate event as a “thank-you party” rather than a typical celebration.

About 30 supporters attended the meet-and-greet in Hong Kong, a turnout that surprised and moved the 30-year-old television personality. “I chose the actual day because it’s very important to me, and this is the first time I can celebrate my birthday together with everyone,” Ho said through a representative. “That’s why I specially picked this date.”

A Personal Touch for Dedicated Fans

To express gratitude, Ho prepared eight raffle prizes, including her favorite snacks, an instant camera, and mooncakes. The event featured an open-photo session where fans could take unlimited pictures with the star. Attendees also sang “Happy Birthday” to her, creating what she described as a moving atmosphere.

Ho, known for her work as a host, actress, and variety show regular, has recently taken on more singing engagements. She performed for the crowd, drawing warm applause.

Family Support and Emotional Moments

A unique element of the gathering was the presence of Ho’s godchildren, goddaughters, and immediate family. “Usually my family doesn’t get to see me at work,” she explained. “This wasn’t a formal job, but it was a rare chance for them to see how many people care for and love me. My father was deeply moved.”

Every fan brought a gift for Ho, eliciting mixed feelings. “I don’t want them to spend money on presents for me, but when I received them in person, I was truly touched because they were full of heartfelt intentions,” she said.

The most memorable gift, she noted, was chocolate printed with her face, while the most emotional came from her godson: a handmade card. “The drawing wasn’t master-level, but the sentiment made me cry,” Ho said with a laugh. She also shared a modest wish: “If I have the ability in the future, I hope to prepare a gift for every fan who comes.”

Career Updates and New Projects

Beyond the fan meeting, Ho pointed to her role in the drama Non-Fault Crime as her biggest “gift” this year. “I never expected viewers to like my performance. I received so many online comments—it was overwhelming,” she said. She also promoted her upcoming series The Couple’s Game, urging audiences to watch and hoping for strong ratings.

Relationship View at 29+1

Asked about her love life, Ho—who participated in The Goddess Matchmaking Plan 2—said she is now seeking a long-term partner. “At 29+1, I’m no longer as impatient or impulsive as before. Instead, I want to take things slowly and find someone I can truly walk through life with,” she revealed.

The event underscored Ho’s deepening bond with her fanbase and her commitment to giving back as her career continues to expand.
