Hong Kong boy band MIRROR marked their eighth anniversary on Saturday by announcing an eight-concert series, “MIRROR 12 AS 1 LIVE 2026,” slated for December at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Sha Tin. The fan event also saw the release of an anniversary album and photobook, along with a behind-the-scenes preview of their new group track “Fight Club.” More than a thousand MIRO, the band’s official fan club, attended the gathering, which was preceded by reports of pickpockets infiltrating the crowd.
Since debuting in 2017, MIRROR has become a cultural phenomenon in Hong Kong entertainment. During the event, each member shared personal memories from their eight-year journey, reflecting on milestones and growth. Leader Lokman Yeung addressed the upcoming concerts, emphasizing that the focus is on the audience experience rather than numerical achievements. “Records are something fleeting,” he said. “What matters is that everyone enjoys the stage. We’re starting with eight shows, and as vice-captain AK suggested, we hope to share the holiday season with fans.” AK, whose full name is Ngan King-yin, playfully added that he hopes to extend the run to the Lunar New Year period.
The concert series introduces several innovations. An M-shaped stage is designed to provide an immersive experience for front-row attendees, with Lokman noting it will feel “as if they are surrounded by us on stage.” For the first time in eight years, the group will perform in sub-units without solo acts, offering a dynamic that Lokman likened to “opening a mystery box, full of freshness.” One of the shows will be exclusive to MIRO members, while AI-powered light sticks and online interactions will enhance audience participation.
Fans have raised concerns about ticket pricing, but Lokman defended the cost by highlighting the increased production value. The anniversary album and photobook, released at the event, capture moments from the band’s evolution. The pickpocket incident, though not officially confirmed, served as a reminder of the massive draw MIRROR commands.
