Undeterred, she pressed on, following the chairman into a nightclub while wearing a shimmering silver slip dress. There, she faced further unwanted advances from a triad henchman, only to be rescued by a detective from the serious crime unit. The scene underscored the dangers journalists face when going undercover—a stark contrast to her glamorous on-screen appearance.
Away from the action, actress Jinny Ng laughed off her character’s wardrobe, telling reporters, “I think the outfits in this show are really pretty. Actually, I believe all my costumes across dramas look good—I take it as a compliment to my own fashion sense.”
Meanwhile, co-star Hera Chan, who plays forensic pathologist Ching Yan-sing, brought a distinct quirk to the screen with her blunt bob, glasses, and compulsive habit of pushing them up with straight fingers. Her obsessive-compulsive traits and naive personality made her instantly recognizable.
