His son, pop star and actor Nicholas Tse, confirmed the news, stating his father “dedicated his entire life to the film and entertainment industry.”
Tse’s passing marks the end of an era for Hong Kong cinema. He appeared in nearly 200 films and, in a poignant career milestone, won his first Best Actor award at age 85 at the Hong Kong Film Awards for his role in “Time” (2021).
