The latest installment of ViuTV’s variety program “VIURIETY” featured “The Choose Day 2.0,” building on the previous season’s matched couples by introducing new singles competing for a spot in a “Day and Night Love Cohabitation Trip.” The night’s stakes were high: participants faced challenges testing their knowledge of the opposite sex, with the winners earning a coveted ticket to the live-in getaway.
In a segment designed to assess male contestants’ understanding of female perspectives, the production team posed a hypothetical scenario: On a five-day, four-night trip to Tokyo, a girlfriend develops foot pain and wishes to return to the hotel on day three—only for her boyfriend to leave her there to pick up items for a friend. Contestants were asked to list four reasons why the girlfriend would become angry. Participant Chuck successfully identified most of the correct answers, earning significant favor from the female contestants.
But the night’s most memorable moment belonged to contestant Bryan, who confidently declared he had “a fairly deep understanding of the opposite sex.” During a partnered quiz, his teammate Miki was asked to explain the difference between “孖煙通” (a baggy, boxer-like undergarment) and traditional boxer shorts. Her response stunned the room: “Boxers are underwear worn on the inside. ‘孖煙通’ are worn outside the boxer briefs!”
Realizing Bryan’s facial cues signaling distress, Miki quickly corrected herself, laughing: “That’s how Bryan wears them!
