HONG KONG — In the latest episode of TVB’s hit reality dating series “女神配對計劃2” (Bella Matchmaking Plan 2), aired Wednesday night, contestant Amber Chan Si-si emerged as the breakout star—not for her romantic connections, but for her hilariously forgetful nature and unabashed nosiness.
The episode’s comedic highlight came when five female contestants were left guessing about an unseen suitor. True to form, 27-year-old Amber was the first to smash her buzzer with eager exclamations of “I want to see!” and “Open the curtain!” Her over-the-top curiosity prompted host Bob Lam to tease her mercilessly: “All the gossip-buzzing is definitely coming from Amber.”
The segment took an unexpected turn when the mystery man revealed himself as 27-year-old Lee Wai-biu, affectionately nicknamed “Ding Biu.” A TVB staffer and self-proclaimed A0 (single), Lee disclosed that he had joined the show specifically because he received a message from one of the female contestants—shockingly, Amber herself. However, when all eyes turned to her, she wore a blank expression, exchanging confused glances with her fellow contestants.
“Oh no! I was just thinking, is it me? But you know me—I always forget what I do,” she stammered, before adding with comic despair, “I sent out group messages! What do I do now?” She buried her head in her hands, exclaiming, “I never thought it would be me!”
Despite her mortifying lapse, Lee still received the coveted “Encouragement Light” from Amber, who praised his boldness: “Taking this step requires real courage. I admire his bravery, and I want to give him this chance.”
The episode also introduced viewers to 27-year-old fitness trainer Lin Tsz-long, nicknamed “Fit界的張天賦” (The Gym World’s MC). Sporting clear-rimmed glasses and a boyish appearance that belied his age, Lin wowed the ladies with gravity-defying street workout moves—including backflips and a floating Moonwalk on parallel bars—that had all five contestants chorusing, “Amazing!”
But it was a sentimental tattoo that truly won Amber’s heart. “This is my first tattoo,” Lin explained. “It’s for my beloved dog, who passed away in 2014. He was by my side from when I was little until I grew up.” Touched, Amber remarked: “He’s so loyal. He doesn’t want to forget this companion who was with him for so many years. That he got it inked to see every day really earns bonus points in my book.”
Lin ended the night in perfect sync with Amber, earning four lights and, notably, her heart. After she placed the “heart necklace” around his neck, he shared a heartfelt message: “Thank you for liking this Virgo. During the auditions, I hadn’t met everyone yet. I came here hoping to find my soulmate.
